Fabienne Dupont, interior decorator.
Born at Poperinge on 14 August 1962.
Training: decorative arts at Bruges, photography at Sint-Lukas Instituut in Brussels. After many years in photography, Fabienne Dupont began to specialize in the interior decoration of top-of-range houses and apartments in Belgium and abroad. As a decorator, she involves herself passionately in her projects. Constantly looking for the latest novelties (materials, colours, special effects, lighting, etc.), she coordinates the overall shaping of interiors. At ease in both modern and classical design, she creates warm, pleasant-tolive- in atmospheres. In the Villa Dirickz project, she has succeeded in creating an interior which responds to current developments while respecting the features of modernism, using the trends of the times (wood, colours, fabrics and marble), while adding new technology like domotics and electronic equipment, a swimming pool and a hamman. She chose the timeless furniture created by the great designers who were contemporaries of Marcel Leborgne like Eileen Gray, Jozef Hoffmann, Mies Van Der Rohe, etc. The contribution of a feminine eye is precious in giving character and balance to interiors designed to seduce both women and men.
